The parallels were uncanny. I come from a product background, had a long period where I was slowly returning to myself, and had an unlock where I realized I want to devote myself to painting as my craft + look into freelance work on the side. My time away from a FT-job really let me heal and lean into my intuitive side and I want to continue to nurture that relationship and my natural seasons! So I love seeing stories of others creating their own paths faithfully, it’s inspiring :)
This was gorgeous!! I work in careers advising and tbh I wish more people could see ‘career change’ the way Kasturi lives it. It doesn’t need to be a MASSIVE leap - but a series of small experiments and adjustments. Also… not wanting to explain why art is necessary (!!!) I hear versions of that every week from people trying to justify joy and like they need a linkedIn-ready reason to keep doing the thing they actually like. Loved this so much– thank you for sharing it
Oh wow, the feelings Kasturi described were exactly how I felt during my career change. It’s so good to read to know I wasn’t alone in this, because to be honest sometimes I would wonder if I was deluded. Thank you for sharing your story, Kasturi!
